PCP, COMMITTED TO CHILD PROTECTION

PARTES Y COMPLEMENTOS PLÁSTICOS S.A.S (PCP) became the first company to receive the prestigious social seal “Committed to children, we combat sexual abuse”, awarded by the Secretariat of Social and Political Development of the Mayor’s Office of Pereira. This recognition highlights PCP’s initiatives in the prevention of child sexual abuse, consolidating its commitment to protecting the rights of children.
Martha Cecilia Alzate, Secretary of Social Development , stated: “Presenting this certificate to PCP is a recognition of private sector leadership in preventing child sexual abuse. This effort is fundamental to protecting our children and promoting a culture of social responsibility.” For her part, Angeline Sandoval, Councilwoman of Pereira , emphasized the importance of the seal: “The creation of this recognition, included in the framework of the public childhood policy, represents a milestone in the Development Plan. It is a key tool to promote the protection of our children.”
Luis Javier Arango Berrio, CEO of PCP, expressed: “Protecting children is a shared responsibility. This certificate marks the beginning of a journey that PCP will continue to walk, strengthening our culture of respect and care.” In 2025, PCP will launch awareness campaigns aimed at its employees and their families, focused on well-being and training, to reinforce the protection of childhood.

Alarming Context:
According to Medicina Legal, in the past year 19,192 cases of sexual abuse against minors were reported in Colombia, an average of 53 cases per day. Most victims are between 6 and 12 years old, and in 90% of cases the aggressors belong to the victim’s close circle.

Ongoing Commitment:
PCP will actively work to implement the guidelines of the social seal, develop reporting channels, and execute concrete actions to ensure the comprehensive protection of children and adolescents. This effort is carried out in partnership with the municipal administration of Pereira.

PCP reaffirms its commitment to childhood and calls on all sectors to join the fight against child abuse.
