One of the most important phenomena that globalization has unleashed is to be able to make other realities visible, exposing local problems to the world and turning them into global ones, mobilizing people's empathy for just causes; this...

In Colombia, there are areas with very pronounced social and economic problems, such as Puerto Caldas, in Risaralda, which has a community willing to work for its people and for its social restoration.

In the case of Puerto Caldas, and more specifically with the El Comienzo del Arcoíris Foundation, PCP is working to rebuild the social fabric of this community, made up primarily of families who have been victims of forced displacement, through its Acople Con Propósito (Coupling with Purpose) Project. But what is a coupling with purpose? It's the opportunity for young people in this community to have formal employment, allowing them to study and earn an income without having to endure the difficulties of moving elsewhere.

For the development of this project, PCP moved its entire assembly process for sink and toilet couplings to an adapted workshop at the El Comienzo del Arcoíris Foundation, whose members work half a day in this workshop and dedicate the other half to studying technical, technological or professional careers, which guarantees an improvement in their quality of life and that of their families.

And why make this huge commitment? Over these 35 years of learning and growth, PCP has understood that as a company it has a huge environmental and social responsibility. True to its commitment, every drop counts, and every action taken does too. That's why they extend an invitation to more companies to join, support, or create more initiatives like these, which are the true path to change and social equity.
