Beginnings
In 1988, Partes y Complementos Plásticos (PCP) was founded in Sabaneta, Antioquia, with the goal of manufacturing, distributing, and selling products made from metal and plastic, starting with an initial capital of $1,800,000.
Spray nozzle
The priority was the development and manufacturing of products for water management and control. PCP began producing the spray nozzle mold.
Move to La Fragua neighborhood
The main PCP plant was relocated to the La Fragua neighborhood in Bogotá.
New corporate image
In 1999, PCP launched its new corporate image, along with the development of its own labels and packaging. This year also marked the company’s partnership with Proexport.
Launch of the Heavy-Duty Valve
PCP welcomed the year 2000 with the launch of its ½” heavy-duty valve.
Start of exports
In 2005, PCP moved to a new warehouse and began exporting to Costa Rica. By the end of the year, the company had surpassed its first million dollars in sales.
Operations in Peru and launch of the Light-Duty Valve
2007 was a very special year for PCP with the opening of its own operations in Peru and the launch of the light-duty valve.
SAP implementation
A milestone year for PCP: in 2009, the company invested in advertising on radio stations and Colombian soccer, achieved a sales balance of 52% exports and 48% domestic, and implemented SAP.
Home Depot Mexico
PCP began its commercial relationship with Home Depot Mexico, strengthening its presence in the retail market.
Manufacturing of the 4” Check Valve
In 2012, PCP began manufacturing the 4” check valve, one of the most popular products in its catalog.
Production of our own PVC
PCP started
producing its own PVC,
boosting the company’s
raw material plant.
Operations in Mexico and launch of the Hose Bibb
In 2014, PCP achieved
one of its
major goals with
the opening of its own
operations in Mexico
and the launch of
its Hose Bibb.
International NSF certification
In 2017, PCP earned
the international NSF certification and developed
the “célula” project in Mexico.
30th Anniversary and new image
In March 2018, PCP celebrated 30 years of work, innovation, and success with a refreshed corporate image.
Launch of the 3” Light-Duty Valve
A product developed mainly to strengthen the irrigation line.
Relocation to Pereira plant
Due to growth and future vision, PCP moved its operations to Pereira, tripling its installed capacity with a more environmentally responsible plant and improved benefits for product delivery in Colombia and abroad.
Inauguration of Pereira plant
The great tree called PCP now stands in Pereira, where its leaders aim to positively contribute to regional growth and continue working for the future—not only with the quality and reliability of the products it manufactures, but also with the future of our planet by preventing water waste.
